Ground Beef Recall

  • The USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Services has issued an alert over ground beef possibly contaminated with plastic or metal.
  • A customer of Ohio’s Stockyards Packing Company says they found hard plastic and metal fragments in their frozen beef.
  • The affected product is labeled as “STOCKYARDS PACKING COMPANY GROUND BEEF”, with a lot code of 241210.  It’s not on the market anymore but you’re advised to check your freezer and fridge.
  • You can then either throw out the beef or return it to your place of purchase.
